This device works by recording the energies of gamma rays emitted from excited materials on the conveyor. These beams are emitted from a beam source to the material on the conveyor and the nucleus of the material elements on the conveyor is stimulated by the collision of these neutrons with their nuclei. The excited nuclei themselves emit gamma energy, and the gamma energy emitted from each element is specific to that element and its intensity is proportional to its magnitude.

The operator uses the Online Elemental Analyzer in the control room to prevent the production of low-quality products quickly and instantly. In this case, traditional methods of laboratory analysis are time-consuming and during this period a very large volume of low-grade materials is produced, all of which in turn are very difficult to track and identify by traditional methods.
